# Kerfwise

> Design cabinets and furniture, get cut lists, optimised sheet layouts, costs and drawings. Kerfwise is a free cabinet and furniture CAD that runs in your browser. Build kitchens, wardrobes, bookshelves, desks, tables and beds from parametric cabinets with real joinery, then get a grouped cut list with edge banding, guillotine or CNC sheet layouts with yield and offcuts, a hardware list, a full cost estimate and dimensioned production drawings with drilling. Projects stay on your device; the same engine is available as API and MCP tools.

Kerfwise (Cabinet & furniture CAD) is a premium app of usefulweb.site (https://usefulweb.site/): a full program that runs in the browser. Its engine is deterministic and the same functions are exposed as tools, so an agent can compute exactly what the app shows.

## Limits
- Cabinets are rectangular: no angled, curved or diagonal corner cabinets (blind corners only).
- Worktop corners are butt joints; mitred corners and L-shaped single-piece tops are not modelled.
- Nesting is heuristic (very good, not proven optimal) and nests rectangles only.
- Hardware positions follow common European (System 32, Blum-style) defaults; check your exact hinges and slides.
- No CNC toolpaths/G-code; DXF is for import into CAM software.
- The 3D view uses simple box geometry (no rounded edges, handles as bars) and needs WebGL.
- Phones get a simplified, mostly read-only layout; editing is best on a tablet or desktop.
